Class management software

Students, classes and progress tracking

Your roster is not just a marking queue. Organise learners into classes, collect work through private upload links, see gradebooks and hotspots, then intervene with Reporting Hub—and keep every mark on the student’s history.

  • Private student upload links
  • CSV / Excel roster import
  • Class gradebooks & hotspots
  • Reporting hub & interventions
Differentiator

Student upload portal—no student accounts

Create a link-collection assignment and every learner gets a private URL. They upload a Word file with no Feedback Flows login. You track who has submitted, regenerate links if needed, then begin marking when the set is ready.

Students do not get a grades portal or login dashboard—results stay under teacher control, with optional email delivery from each profile. That keeps setup light for schools and ITPs while still collecting work digitally.

Roster

Get a class into Feedback Flows in minutes

1

Paste or import

Paste names or upload CSV/Excel (up to 1,000) with smart column detection.

2

Review & merge

Confirm before create; merge duplicate profiles when the same learner appears twice.

3

Organise classes

Enrol into classes with subject, room and schedule; group classes under year groups.

4

Tag & filter

Year-group and subject tags power Reporting Hub breakdowns beyond class membership.

Matching

Work finds the right student

Batch ZIP uploads are not a pile of anonymous folders. Fuzzy name matching links folder names to roster profiles; enterprise plans can match on UK Unique Learner Numbers (ULNs) embedded in filenames first.

  • Handles “Surname, Firstname”, initials and reordered tokens
  • Class roster prioritised over the full teacher list
  • Unmatched results can be linked or turned into new students
Batch marking results linked to student profiles in Feedback Flows

Batch results connected to real learners—not just filenames.

Class gradebook and hotspots

See the class, then see the child.

Gradebook matrix

Question & criterion hotspots

Spot the weakest areas across the cohort before the next lesson.

At-risk & interventions

Flag struggling learners and log planned → in-progress → done actions.

Reporting hub

Cohort insight without a spreadsheet marathon

The Reporting Hub stratifies learners by risk, with breakdowns by class, year group, subject, gender and EAL. Log interventions, generate AI cohort briefings, and export CSV for records or leadership.

Per-student profiles add trend charts, AI progress reports, pastoral notes and meetings—so marking history becomes a teaching record, not a dump of PDFs. See also AI feedback for teachers and solutions for teachers.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

No. Students submit work through private per-assignment upload links and can receive emailed results. There is no student login or student-facing grades portal—teachers stay in control of the roster and what is shared.

Paste a list of names or upload a CSV/Excel file (up to 1,000 names). The importer detects name columns, flags duplicates, and lets you confirm before creating profiles.

Folder names in a ZIP are fuzzy-matched to your roster. On enterprise plans, Unique Learner Numbers (ULNs) in filenames can match first. Unmatched work can be linked manually or used to create a new student.

When you create a link-collection assignment, each student gets a private URL. They upload a Word file with no login. You see who has submitted, then begin marking when ready.

Yes. Class detail shows a gradebook, score distribution and criterion hotspots. The Reporting Hub adds cohort risk levels, demographic breakdowns, intervention logging and CSV export.

Email selected marking results to the email on each student profile, export Excel workbooks of marking history, or download a class gradebook CSV for records and MIS workflows.
