Learner Report Builder
Design polished progress reports in a visual template editor, then generate personalised PDFs for individual students from their marking history — ready to download and send home.

Free-Form Template Designer: Build reusable report layouts on a drag-and-drop A4 canvas — add your logo, headings, student details, and result sections anywhere on the page. Templates are saved in Learner Pack Templates and can be edited at any time.

Generate Learner Report: From any student profile, choose a template, tick the marking results to include, and generate a downloadable PDF report in the background. Student name, dates and feedback fill in automatically.

Results Summary Table: A new block that builds a compact table across all selected results — assignment, date, grade, type, and optional feedback excerpt — ideal for an at-a-glance overview at the top of a report.

Results Statistics: Show a summary line with assessment count, numeric average, date range, and optional highest/lowest scores. Averages use parseable numeric grades (fractions and percentages); letter grades are noted when excluded.

AI Tutor Summary: Add an AI write-up block to any template with optional instructions (e.g. focus on progress and next steps). The narrative is generated from the selected marking feedback when the report is created.

Report with Summary Starter: A new starter template combines student details, statistics, a results table, and an AI summary — a sensible default for reports you send directly to learners or parents.
June Marking, Rubric & Enterprise Upgrades
Smarter rubric and automarking workflows, clearer Pass/Merit/Distinction results, multi-file batch uploads, new Year Group organisation with school-year reports, and a major expansion of the Enterprise dashboard for managers and decision-makers.

Year Groups & Visual Hierarchy: Bundle several classes into a Year Group to roll up school-year reports, averages and at-risk registers across the whole cohort. A new Classes Hierarchy view maps each year group to its classes and lists every student, and you can assign classes from the class page, the year group page, or a quick checklist.

Custom Rubric Pass Rates: When you set up a rubric you can now define your own pass threshold. Marked work is automatically given a clear Pass/Fail verdict against that rate.

Pass / Merit / Distinction Overall Grades: PMD rubrics now show the overall grade automatically on results. The overall result is always the lowest grade achieved across criteria — so if a student earns Distinction on every criterion except one Pass, their overall result is Pass, and that rule is explained clearly on the results page.

Diagram Criteria in Rubric Creation: When building a rubric you can attach a reference image or diagram to any criterion. Students can complete that criterion with a drawing, and the AI marks their work against your reference — with both shown side by side in batch results for quick review.

Build a Rubric from a Document: Upload an existing document during rubric creation and have the criteria extracted automatically, saving setup time. (Early release — we welcome feedback as we continue testing.)

Multi-File Student Folders (Rubric & Automarking): You can place several files in a student's ZIP folder (scans, pages, Word docs, PDFs, etc.). The AI treats them as parts of one submission, works out the reading order, combines them, and marks the whole piece — for both Rubric Batch Marking and Automated Marking. Results show which files were combined and in what order.

Per-Question Marking Notes on Question Templates: On the Question Template page you can add notes per question (e.g. "I usually award X marks when a student meets this criterion") to guide the AI's marking. Extracted diagram and table screenshots from the mark scheme are also shown when you review a template.

Class Automarking Student Linking Fix: When you run automated marking for a class, results now link to the students already in that class instead of creating duplicates or leaving results unlinked.

Accurate Marking Progress: Fixed the class marking progress indicator (e.g. "marking 1 of 10 students") so the count advances correctly as each student completes.

At-Risk Learner Flags: A new dashboard widget and flags on the student profile list highlight at-risk learners, so the students who need support are easy to spot at a glance.

Enterprise CSV Onboarding: New enterprise accounts can be onboarded faster by uploading a CSV to auto-populate their database — reducing manual setup for large deployments.

Enterprise Manager Tab: Enterprise managers now have a dedicated Enterprise tab with widgets tailored to their organisation — including seat usage, queue health, and operational overview at a glance.

Per-Rubric Time Saved Breakdown: The Enterprise time-saved dashboard now includes a per-rubric breakdown, so you can see which rubrics and workflows are delivering the most workload reduction.

Enterprise Quality Role (Decision Makers): A new Quality-focused enterprise role gives senior leaders and decision-makers access to outcome-focused widgets — including Commercial Outcomes Summary, Learner Outcomes, and related reporting — without needing full admin access.

March Experience Overhaul
March was all about UX control and connected intelligence across dashboards, detection, and automarking history.

Student Dashboard Overhaul: We added stronger cohort and demographic insight layers (including gender and related grouping data) to help identify which learner groups are excelling and which need additional support.

System Architecture Overhaul & Stability 🚀
We have completely rebuilt the engine that powers our AI tools. This "Async Architecture" upgrade ensures that heavy marking jobs will never time out or crash the server, regardless of file size.

Smart Essay History: The Smart Essay Marker now saves your work! You can view a complete history of previous feedback jobs and revisit results anytime—no more lost work if you close the tab.

Background Processing: All heavy AI tools (Video Marker, Rubric Generator, Syllabus Creator) now run in the background. You can start a job, navigate away, and check the status later without interrupting the process.

Outsourced Marking & Vision AI 👁️
We have officially launched our Managed Marking Service for schools and departments.
You can now outsource your Mock Exam marking directly to us. We accept batches of scanned handwritten scripts or digital files and use our advanced Vision AI pipeline to grade them against your mark scheme.
Marking Workflow Enhancements ⚡
Based on teacher feedback, we have significantly improved the data export process for marking jobs.
- Smart Copy: Granular control over copying grades, feedback, and justifications to the clipboard (perfect for BTEC/strict criteria).
- Direct CSV Export: You can now download marking results directly to Excel/CSV from both Batch and Automated marking modes.
