Last updated: 28 July 2026 · Version 2026-07-28

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) forms part of the Terms of Use for Feedback Flows Ltd.

1. Permitted use

Use the Service only for lawful education purposes: marking, feedback, integrity support, curriculum planning and related professional workflows for which you have authority.

2. Prohibited use

You must not:

  • Upload or process personal data without a lawful basis and appropriate authority
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, overload, scrape or attack the Service, or bypass rate limits / security controls
  • Share login credentials, or allow unauthorised third parties (including students) to access staff accounts
  • Use the Service to generate or distribute malware, spam, harassment, discriminatory content or illegal material
  • Upload special category data (e.g. health, political opinions) unless strictly necessary and lawful — minimise by default
  • Misrepresent AI-generated marks or detection scores as definitive human judgements
  • Use AI detection or similarity outputs as the sole basis for academic misconduct findings or disciplinary sanctions
  • Resell or white-label the Service except under a written enterprise agreement that permits it
  • Probe other customers’ data or attempt to access data outside your organisation’s entitlement

3. Student data responsibilities

  • Only upload student data you are authorised to process
  • Prefer anonymisation / enterprise mandates where available for AI prompts
  • Do not email sensitive results to incorrect addresses; verify student emails before sending
  • Delete student records you no longer need

4. API and automation

If you use API access, keep keys secret, respect published rate limits, and do not use the API to build a competing service using our outputs in breach of the Terms.

5. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected breaches, suspend features or accounts, and report unlawful activity to authorities where required. Contact support@feedbackflows.org to report abuse.
